Chelsea debate future of successful player

It seems that there may be a split at Stamford Bridge over the future of John Terry with Guus Hiddink wanting to offer the Chelsea captain a new contract now.

The problem with this, is that Chelsea’s policy is that players over 30 years of age only get offered a one year contract, and so far even that hasn’t been offered.

Interim manager Hiddink claims that 35 year old Terry is as good now as he was when in charge in 2009 when he was first at the club.

The Dutch manager claims that Terry still remains an important part of the team, having a massive positive effect on his centre-back partner Kurt Zouma. © 2017 Frontier Theme
