Chelsea are close to winning the Premier League title this season, and the Blues have started planning for next summer which they would hope to defend the premier League title as well as mount a serious challenge for the UEFA Champions League.
Antonio Conte has prioritized the addition of AS Roma pair, Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rudiger.
The Blues came close to signing midfielder Nainggolan last summer, but could not meet AS Roma’s valuation for the player. He has spent all his career in Italy so far and has had a very impressive time in the Italian capital.
Nainggolan has admitted that the Premier League is the best in the world and confirmed that Conte tried to sign him last summer. He offered some positives that a deal could still be done this summer.
Antonio Rudiger is a centre back that Conte sees as a credible replacement for the departing John Terry. The German international has been a mainstay at Roma since joining the team and almost signed for Chelsea last summer before a major injury meant he could not compete for Germany in Euro 2016.
