Chelsea identify Serie A replacement for one of their best players

Reports from Italy are linking Chelsea with a move for AC Milan keeper, Diego Lopez.

The Blues are planning for next season without Thibaut Courtois, as they expect the Belgian to join Real Madrid after the Spanish giants cooled their Interest in David De Gea.

Courtois has refused to rule out a move to Madrid and it is believed that him and compatriot, Eden Hazard are interested in becoming Galacticos.

Lopez has been on loan at Espanyol this season, and the Catalan club are keen on keeping him for another season as his path to the Milan first team is effectively blocked by the good form of their young first choice goalie, Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Antonio Conte may also lose second choice, Asmir Begovic this summer, as Bournemouth are likely going to return for the keeper they almost signed during the winter transfer window. He believes that Lopez who became Real Madrid’s first choice under Jose Mourinho is capable of manning the post for his team.

Conte will wait to see if any of his first and second choice goal keeper ask for a move away before tabling a bid for Lopez. © 2017 Frontier Theme
