Borussia Dortmund will not wait forever for clubs to come and sign Bundesliga top scorer, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
The attacker is one of the most prolific goal scorers in the world right now and piped Robert Lewandoski to the German league’s top scorer award last season, and the club had expected to sell him early in the summer. However, there has surprisingly been a shortage of takers with no one tabling an official bid for his signature so far.
In reaction to the lack of official bid, the club’s president insists that they have a deadline which they would no longer entertain offers for the Gabon international. He admitted that there are several teams where Aubameyang can earn significantly more than he currently does in Dortmund, but they would be happy to keep him around.
Chelsea has emerged as strong suitors after they lost out to Manchester United on the signing of Romelu Lukaku, reports even claim the Blues have been offered the attacker for £60 million. However, Chelsea is currently pursuing a deal for Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, and would only turn to Aubameyang if they fail to land the Spaniard.
