He is one of the most highly-rated full-backs in football and has been looked at by some of Europe’s elite. But they are all set to miss out as Lucas Digne has agreed to sign a new contract at Lille, which will kill all rumours about a move.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the course of the past 12 months, becoming an established member of the first-team squad.
His rapid progress has drawn admiring glances from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Fiorentina – with all of those clubs having sent scouts to watch the youngster in action.
Digne is, however, in no hurry to make a move elsewhere, with it his ambition to continue impressing for Lille and earn senior international recognition.
He told L’Equipe: “I feel happy at Lille.

The young ma clearly has a bright future ahead of him and it is good to see a kid stay at a club that has given him his chance at making it in the game.
