Antonio Conte is hungry for some English blood as the Italian look set for his second full season as the Blues’ manager.
Conte speaking to a journalist recently praised Tottenham’s front man Harry Kane as the complete striker, going further to state he would jump at the chance of signing the North Londoner, but knows he is worth £100 million.
Conte is ready to pounce and add some English blood to his Chelsea side this summer.
The Italian is reportedly keen on signing Ross Barkley, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tom Davies.
Barkley and Chamberlain are easy targets as they are both currently in the last year of their respective deals, and have rejected offers of new contracts.
Barkley’s position has been labelled as 100% leaving Goodison Park this summer after telling Ronald Koeman he wants a new challenge, and Conte is ready to offer him that challenge. However, a major issue is Barkley’s transfer fee, as Everton are asking for £50 million. However, after Koeman admitted the midfielder was on his way out of the club, Everton might reduce that fee significantly to allow the transfer go through.
Chamberlain has rejected a new Arsenal deal, and Conte has asked Chelsea to monitor how his contract saga develops.
