After declaring him 100% ready to leave Everton this summer, Everton manager, Ronald Koeman would be delighted to hear that Chelsea are very keen on signing Ross Barkley.
Barkley has informed Everton that he would be leaving them this summer for a new challenge after refusing to sign a new deal being offered to him. The midfielder was reportedly offered a deal worth £100,000 per week which would have made him the Toffees highest earner before the arrival of Wayne Rooney, but he turned it down, and Koeman has blocked any way back for him now.
The Toffees are looking to make upwards of £35 million from the sale of the midfielder who is a product of their academy. This figure is said to have deterred Tottenham, but Chelsea are desperate for midfield reinforcements and they would care less about the price.
Antonio Conte has informed his club not to miss out on Barkley who would bring creativity as well as increase the home grown quota of the Blues overall squad.
Arsenal and Manchester United retain an interest in Barkley, but they are focusing on other targets for now.
