Chelsea is set to beat bitter rivals Manchester United to the signature of a player that both sides have been chasing for some time.
According to the media, Chelsea is preparing to table a £50 Million offer for Juventus full-back Alex Sandro.
United are also reportedly very keen on the 26-year-old and this has prompted Chelsea to act fast to see off any potential bid from the Red Devils.
Antonio Conte has had the Brazillian international on his radar for some time now and is determined to sign the defender after failing to land him last summer.
Juventus are said to be open to doing a deal providing that the price is acceptable and have already started scouting for a replacement.
Sandro is a world class defender, if he adapts to English football he would be a huge hit and even though £50 Million is still a lot of money it would be a bargain by today’s standards.
United are also interested but the chances are that they will look elsewhere if Chelsea does table a huge bid and the path appears clear for Conte to finally sign his man.
Just not sure it will be this January.
