In what could be one of the most shocking transfers in Premier League history, Chelsea is reportedly set to sign Manchester City top goal scorer, Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine is unhappy about losing his place in the Citizens starting lineup to Gabriel Jesus, and wants to move for regular football ahead of next year’s FIFA World cup in Russia.
Respected Spanish journalist, Manu Sainz is claiming that Chelsea have approached Manchester City for the transfer of Aguero and have received a positive response. Per the source, Pep Guardiola has agreed to let the Argentine striker join them.
Aguero scored 30 goals in all competitions for City last season, despite losing his place in the starting lineup when Gabriel Jesus signed last winter.
Pep is focused on building his team around youngsters and feels Aguero, who won the 2012 and 2014 Premier League title with City, may no longer have the hunger for success that he wants from his players.
The Blues will be delighted by this news after losing out on Romelu Lukaku, the clubs are set to begin talks soon.
