Chelsea plan to add MLS youngster to their team after Didier Drogba recommendation

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has taken up some unofficial scouting job for the Blues which has seen him identify one star who could be on his way to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The former Ivory Coast international has recommended Montreal Impact’s Jean-Yves Tabla to the Blues after being impressed by the teenager when he played for the MLS side.

Tabla was born in the Ivory Coast but he is also eligible to play for Canada after moving there when he was very young. He made a huge name for himself when he scored on his MLS debut for the Canadian based side and has gone on to make 17 appearances for the club’s first team this season.

The 18 year Old’s current contract runs out in 2018, and the Blues could land him for a low price if they move for him before he is offered a new deal.

Chelsea is looking for a new attacker after completing the signing of Alvaro Morata. Although they want to sign Swansea’s Fernando Llorente, the Blues have been priced out of a deal for his signature, with the Swans demanding £30 million for the 32-year-old. © 2017 Frontier Theme
