Chelsea is reported to be considering a last minute move for Manchester United target Ivan Perisic, according to the British media.
The Inter Milan star was thought to be on his way to Old Trafford but that appears to no longer be the case.
Chelsea is apparently set to make their move following the reluctance of United to meet Inters asking price.
The Croatian winger is valued at £48million, a figure that the Red Devils are simply not prepared to pay.
United have been in talks with Inter all summer long over Perisic moving to Manchester, However, talks have failed with the Europa League champions not prepared to meet the inflated asking price slapped on the 28-year old by the Italian giants.
Former Chelsea and Inter striker Hernan Crespo can see Perisic joining Chelsea but has concerns over where he would fit in.
“It’s possible he joins Chelsea—but he plays on the left, and on the left you have Eden Hazard, Perisic and Marcos Alonso,” he said,
“Maybe he could come in through the middle or to the right.”
