There had been rumours in the media lately linking Arturo Vidal with a move from Juventus to the Premier League or France, but his agent has come out and told the chasing clubs that his client is already at the ‘biggest club in the world’.
The 25-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best combative midfielders on the continent and has excelled since his days in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked with the Chile international, who played a starring role in Juve’s title triumph last term.
But his representative Fernando Felicevich has played down PSG’s – and other clubs’ – chances of signing him by citing Juventus’ status as one of the most prestigious sides in the world.
Felicevich told Tuttomercatoweb.com: “PSG? If he is at the biggest club in the world why would he go there?” (TalkSport)
Pretty bold words form the agent and not exactly true as there are far bigger clubs that Juventus in the world and Vidal is probably thinking the same.
However, the clubs chasing may have been dealt a hammer blow Felicevich but a move will still be on as all clubs will look to add the brilliant Vidal their respective squads. And a battle will surely ensure come next month.
