Despite helping Chelsea win the Premier League title this season, it appears as though Chelsea striker Diego Costa is on his way out of the West London club.
The striker made a shocking revelation to the Spanish media while away on International duty, claiming that Antonio Conte has told him to look for a new club ahead of the new season.
The striker fell out with his manager during the January transfer window after appearing to have had his head turned by a big-money move to China. Since that time his relationship with the Italian manager has deteriorated.
Costa recently told reporters that he would only leave Chelsea for Atletico Madrid, but with Atletico serving a transfer ban that would last until January, he may have to move to another team to keep himself in shape.
When asked if he would join Atletico Madrid and wait until January when he could play for them, Costa was sceptical, informing the journalists that that was unlikely going to be the case as it is a world cup year and he would do his chances of playing in Russia good by playing regularly.
Chelsea’s willingness to sell the attacker who struck 20 times for them last season would come as a shock to their fans, but with the Blues close to securing a deal for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, Costa’s loss may not be felt too much.
