Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is happy to use Andreas Christensen as a sweetener in their move to sign Inter Milan’s, Antonio Candreva.
Conte is keen on signing Candreva because of the 30 years Old’s versatility, and suitability to his wing back formation.
Conte currently has just Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses as his first choice full backs, the two were fit enough for Chelsea to win the Premier League last season, but with the addition of Champions League football, Conte feels he needs more squad depth for them to make any meaningful achievement this year.
Inter Milan have entered the market to sign a new centre back ahead of the new season, and Conte is happy to propose a player plus cash deal if they are willing to allow Candreva leave.
Conte knows Candreva well, and the winger was one of his most trusted players when he was the manager of the Italy national team, and both of them fancy a reunion.
Candreva played in all of Inter Milan’s Serie A games last season and Luciano Spaletti sees him as a huge part of his plans for the new season.
