Napoli defender kalidou Koulibally, may be playing at Stamford Bridge next season, after his club’s president admitted they would not stand in his way if he wants to leave.
Chelsea tried to sign Koulibaly last summer, and tried again during the winter transfer window, but were unable to meet Napoli’s £60 million asking price for the Senegalese. He has been a rock at Napoli’s defence as they impressed in the Serie A and Europe this season.
According to his club’s president, he cannot confirm if Chelsea have made a move for the player, but the decision to move is for the player to make in his own time.
Koulibaly was recently asked about his future, he maintained that his focus is currently at Napoli, but did little to commit his long term future to the club. He further claimed that he is currently happy at Naples, but he would consider his future when the season is over.
Antonio Conte wants Koulibaly to replace club legend John terry who announced that this season would be his very last at Stamford Bridge.
