Real Madrid star James Rodriguez rejected a move to Chelsea earlier this season, according to reports coming out of Spain.
Rodriguez has become one of the most rumoured players in the gossip columns this season and a number of clubs have been linked with the forward, including Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool.
However, it appears that only Chelsea have acted, according to the report the Blues made an offer for the 25-year-old, but he turned it down after being persuaded to remain with the club by his manager Zinedine Zidane.
Rodriguez has been the subject of all sort of rumours and it did appear a certainty that he would be leaving Spain after becoming sidelined at the Bernabeau, however, it now looks like he will remain in Madrid for the foreseeable future.
Chelsea is probably not too downhearted that they have been snubbed by the Colombian, there are a significant amount of top quality players that are likely to become available in the summer transfer window and Antonio Conte will no doubt pick up one or two top class players to strengthen is already highly talented squad.
