Chelsea reported to have agreed personal terms with La Liga ace
Reports from Spanish media claim that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Alvaro Morata over a move this summer. Per the source, Chelsea have managed to convince the striker to join them and he has informed Real Madrid that he wants a move to London.
Morata has been used sparingly this season, and has found it hard to displace Karim Benzema from Madrid’s line up despite the Frenchman’s recent struggle in front of goal.
Real Madrid will not stop Morata from joining Chelsea as they do not want to keep an unhappy player at the Bernabeu.
Chelsea had prioritised the signing of Romelu Lukaku over Alvaro Morata, but Antonio Conte has always preferred Morata, and is said to be very happy to have finally secured an informal agreement with the player.
According to the reports, something has been signed between Morata and Chelsea which makes their commitment to each other bound by law.
Real Madrid have been looking at other striker targets, and it is believed that Morata’s move to Chelsea will now open up space for a new attacker possibly Kylian Mbappe or Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to come in.
