Chelsea set to do powerhouse deal as agent confirms talks in progress

There has been some fresh reports on the Daily Star website which have claimed John Obi-Mikel’s agent admits the Chelsea midfielder could leave the club this summer after admitting holding talks with Italian giants Inter Milan.

The Nigerian international has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place this season under Jose Mourinho and the arrival of Nemanja Matic from Benfica in January has seen his opportunities restricted further.

And he has been further pushed towards the door as there are rumours circling that Mourinho will have a massive summer clear-out and get rid of the players he feels are surplus to requirements, including Mikel.

And according to the 27-year-old’s agent, John Shittu, talks have been held between himself and Inter representatives with a view to a summer move.
