Chelsea prepared to back Antonio Conte with more funds up to the tune of £150 million this summer as the Italian plans to make more signings.
The Blues are determined to retain the Premier League title as well as make a good show of their return to the Champions League, and Conte has informed them that they need more players to achieve that aim.
Conte has already signed Alvaro Morata for £58 million, Tiemoue Bakayoko for £35 million, and Antonio Rudiger for £30 million, but he wants more and the club is prepared to help him get more.
One of the players Conte wants to sign is Virgil Van Dijk, the Dutch defender was ordered to stay back at home while the Saints travelled to France for preseason after he demanded to be sold. He wants to join Liverpool, but the Reds don’t want to spoil their relationship with the Saints further after the South Coast team accused them of tapping up the defender earlier in the summer, however, Chelsea and other teams are free to test the club’s determination not to allow him to leave.
Conte also wants to sign Antonio Candreva from Inter Milan as well as Alex Sandro from Juventus.
