Real Madrid’s superstar Gareth Bale could end up at a Premier League club before the end of this summer’s transfer window after Chelsea joined Manchester United in the race for his signature.
Mirror Sport is reporting that Chelsea has strong interest in bringing the former Tottenham man back to England, and Zinedine Zidane is ready to cash in as he looks for funds to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.
Bale has been linked with a move to Manchester United after the Reds Devils manager informed reporters that he is looking to sign a new top class winger.
Bale has reiterated his desire not to join another Premier League club except Tottenham, but he would also not enjoy the prospect of sitting on the substitute’s bench while Kylian Mbappe stars for the Los Merengues.
Chelsea lost the Community shield to Arsenal, but what was more glaring is the obvious lack of depth in their squad, and they are desperate to address that before the end of the transfer window.
Bale would cost around £90 million in today’s inflated transfer market.
