Chelsea has a huge decision to make on the future of one of their best players. The Blues have seen many of their players ask to leave this summer after they won the Premier League title for the second time in three years.
The English press is reporting that Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic has given the Stamford Bridge giants 48 hours to sort out his move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils’ manager, Jose Mourinho has been looking to bring Matic with him to Old Trafford, but Chelsea still angered by how Mourinho signed Romelu Lukaku from under their noses, have told Matic they would prefer to sell him to Juventus.
The Blues have agreed to sell him to any team who is willing to meet their £40 million asking price. With both Juventus and Manchester United keen.
However, the Italians are only prepared to offer him £125,000 per week for three years, while Manchester United are ready to offer him £150,000 per week for four years, this should sway the deal in the favour of the Red Devils, but Chelsea doesn’t want to sell to a direct rival.
It would be interesting to see if Matic would get his wish to be reunited with Mourinho within the next 48 hours.
