Chelsea to offer-player-plus cash in bid to land £30 million man

Demba Ba will be allowed to quit Chelsea for Everton this summer, but only if Jose Mourinho lands Ross Barkley in return, according to the SportsDirectNews website

Ba has found regular first-team football hard to come by in west London and could find himself further down the pecking order if the Blues bring in new strikers.

And the Portuguese regards Barkley as a natural successor to Frank Lampard, who could be on his way out of the side this summer.

And that has raised the prospect of a move south for Barkley, with the Toffees’ manager Roberto Martinez also keen to land Ba.
