Chelsea is set to take the transfer market by storm after a lack of transfer activity from the Premier League winners so far.
The Blues who would be returning to the Champions League next season knowing that they’d need to sign more quality players if they want to avoid the embarrassing Premier League defence they had during the 2015/2016 season.
According to Express Sports, the Blues are set to announce the signing of AS Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko who would be the first of many signings that are expected to take the Londoners’ spending to around £240 million.
Bakayoko starred for AS Monaco last season as they won the French League and reached the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea is said to have struck a deal with the French team in the region of £36 million for the 22-year-old midfielder. The Blues are expected to take their spending to just below £100 million in the next few days if they are able to complete the £61 million signing of Juventus’ Alex Sandro.
