Chelsea have made up their mind to do whatever it would cost them to sign Napoli centre back, Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Senegalese defender has been on the radar of Chelsea’s manager Antonio Conte, since the Italian was the manager of the Italian national team. Conte tried to sign Kalidou Koulibaly last summer when he first arrived at Chelsea, but Napoli were not interested in discussing the player’s transfer. They even rejected a bid in the region of £60 million from Everton for the defender.
However, it seems that they have lowered their stance and are now ready to sell the player for the right price.
Chelsea know that Napoli would need to replace the defender, so they have added Nigerian international defender Keneth Omeruo, as part of the deal to bring the player to England.
According to Nigerian news sources, Napoli have gone ahead to scout Omeruo and have been impressed with the player’s performances in Turkey, where he has been on loan this season.
Despite adding a player to the deal, it is believed that Chelsea would still have pay at least £50 million for the defender.
