AC Milan are set to begin talks with Chelsea over the possible extension to Mario Pasalic’s loan deal.
The Croatian has been on a season long loan deal with the Italian side and they would like to keep him for another season.
Pasalic has made 22 league appearances this season, scoring in four and providing one assist. His stats may not be very impressive, but his on-loan team’s manager is said to be very impressed with his contribution so far and wants to have him in his team next season.
At Chelsea, the prospect of Pasalic turning out for the first team is very slim. The Blues have Fabregas, Kante, and Matic all fighting for a place in the centre of the club’s midfield, this means he may have to leave for another loan deal next season.
The Blues are happy with the fact that he is getting opportunities at Milan, and are likely going to let him extend his loan for another season.
However, with AC Milan have a new owner, the club may want to invest in experienced professionals. If this happens, he may find first team opportunities hard to come by next season.
