Chelsea has begun their annual clear out of their academy players on a temporary basis. The Blues have come to be known as the club with the best youngsters in England yet, offer very limited opportunities for them to break through.
Reports this morning are claiming that the Blues are on the verge of sending their highly rated youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek out on loan. Several top teams have been making enquiries over the availability of the young midfielder, but it appears that he would move to a London team.
Per the source, Loftus-Cheek is close to sealing a loan move to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have won the race for his temporary service over Southampton, Brighton and Watford.
Loftus-Cheek is one of a few Chelsea academy products expected to move away this season. Dominic Solanke has joined Liverpool on a permanent basis while Nathaniel Chalobah is expected to also leave permanently as he remains in talks with Watford. Izzy Brown, Kasey Palmer, and Tammy Abraham have all moved out on loan.
New Palace manager played a key role in convincing the midfielder to join, as his record of trusting young players speaks for itself.
