Mason Mount is the next Chelsea player to be shipped out on loan to Dutch club Vitesse so that he can gain first team experience.
The 18-year-old is one the brightest prospect coming out of the club’s academy, and he is highly rated at Stamford Bridge. The club hopes that he would become a better player able to challenge the current crop of first team regulars in the near future.
Mount would not be the only Blues player at the Dutch side which has been serving as a training ground for Chelsea players for some time now. Vitesse also have Fankaty Dabo and Charlie Colkett on loan from the Blues on their books, while former Blue, Mukhtar Ali has made a permanent switch to the Dutch top flight team this summer.
Chelsea will be hoping that he does not find his future away from the Bridge and move to a rival just like Dominic Solanke and Nathaniel Chalobah.
Mount scored four goals in 27 matches for the Blues development team in the EFL trophy that featured the first teams of Swindon, Exeter and Oxford last season.
