Club rules out the sale of Chelsea and Manchester United target

Chelsea and Manchester United have been dealt a major blow in their quest to sign one of their transfer targets.
The British media is reporting that AS Roma have put a stop to the selling of their best players this summer and as such would not let Chelsea and Manchester United target, Radja Nainggolan leave.

The two Premier League giants are looking to strengthen their midfield ahead of a return to the UEFA Champions League and Nainggolan was their preferred choice.

The Belgian who rejected a move to Chelsea last summer is one of the most combative midfielders in world football and helped Roma finish last season as runners-up in the Italian Serie A.

Chelsea is still struggling to complete the signing of AS Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Conte had expected a deal with Roma for Nainggolan to be easier.

Manchester United have also not completed the signing of long-term target Fabinho, as they have given up on their pursuit of Nemanja Matic.

The two English giants will now focus their effort on other midfield targets.
