Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is reported to have accepted that he needs to leave the Emirates if he wants to get his career back on track.
Reports today are claiming that Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez wants to sign the England midfielder, however, he is not alone in coveting the signature of a player that was once branded a potential superstar.
West Ham, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Roma, Juventus and Lazio are all said to be interested in signing the 25-year-old on a permanent basis.
Wilshere would be prepared to leave the Gunners but he is not keen on leaving London, which would place West Ham and Crystal Palace as the favourites, but Newcastle are hopeful that they can persuade Wilshere to sign for them instead.
Wilshere was left out of the squad that beat Leicester City 4-3 last Friday and that is apparently what convinced the playmaker that his time is now up in North London and that he needs to move away to reignite his stalled career.
It does now look an almost certainty that Wilshere will depart before the end of the transfer window, whether it is permanently or on a loan is yet to be decided.
Wilshere can be bought on the cheap because his contract expires at the end of the season, something that his suitors are well aware of.
