The press have been playing games again, claiming that Liverpool have made a move to sign Rostov forward Sardar Azmoun, only problem with those claims, is they are not true.
The player himself has admitted that he has not received a single offer, however, he does say that he would look in to any offers made, saying
‘Ajax, PSV or Liverpool? I have [not] received any offers,’ the forward said.
‘If there are, then I’m going to take my time to look into it, whether it comes from Liverpool or other clubs.’
It is understandable that the press would link the 21 year old with a transfer, he is an exciting player with bags of potential, but twisting his words to make it look like he is set to join the Reds is disingenuous at best.
The Iran international has apparently also attracted the attention of Dutch sides Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, though it is uncertain how they know this to be true.
The bottom line here is that Azmoun is just one of many players linked with a move based on performance, not based on any sort of facts and with the January transfer window fast approaching then you can expect a lot more of this sort of reporting.
