On-Loan Liverpool defender, Mahmadou Sakho may have his loan deal turned into a permanent move by crystal Palace. The defender has been in solid form since making the loan move from Anfield this January. Since making he debut four matches ago, Palace have won all four games and conceded only one goal.
Sakho who is still regarded as the best defender on Liverpool’s books by some of their fans, fell out with Jurgen Klopp during last summer’s preseason and was banished from the first team. He missed the first six months of this season, playing only for the club’s under 23. But his January loan move to Place has revived his career, and palace know that they may be priced out of a deal for the Frenchman when the transfer windows open.
Southampton and some Italian clubs are said to be actively pursuing the player. Southampton wants him to replace the outgoing Van Dijk, while the Italian teams believe Sakho possesses the strength to thrive in the Serie A.
Liverpool wanted to sell the defender for £20 million during the January transfer window, but his recent from could push their asking price to around £30 million.
