It seems that Arsenal will not need to look for a new right-back in the summer window, as Bacary Sagna is reportedly ready to commit himself to a new contract and snub PSG.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club are still hoping to persuade Sagna to sign a new deal as his current contract only has 12 months to run.
It comes after PSG struggled to come up with a package to tempt Sagna because of the incoming tax laws in France and the right back is now more likely to stay at the Emirates.
Sagna wants a two year extension but Arsenal are hoping there may now be a compromise in sight which would persuade him to stay and possibly see him sign a new one-year deal. (Daily Mirror)
The defender is one of the best right-backs in the country and the Gunners will surely be happy when he finally puts pen to paper and ends all speculation over his future.
