Manchester United Left back Luke Shaw, has vowed to fight for his Manchester United future amid reports of him wanting a move away from the club.
United boss Jose Mourinho has been openly critical of the player this season and even suggested that he was a long way from any first team involvement at the moment.
But Shaw was unexpectedly recalled to United’s starting lineup last weekend and was clearly thrilled to be back. The England international made his excitement known after the game. Speaking to reporters, the defender said he was delighted to play 60 minutes in United’s win over Sunderland.
Shaw has failed to live up to the promise he showed at Southampton that made United cough out a record fee for a British teenager to bring him to Manchester.
Just when he was beginning to show some promise, he broke his leg in a Champions League tie against PSV, after that injury, he has struggled for form and a number of recurring injuries have hampered his growth this season.
Still 21, Shaw has a lot of time to be the defender we all think he can be.
