According to Dutch publication Dagblad, PSV have opened talks with Chelsea over a new loan deal for Marco van Ginkel. The Dutch defending champions want to sign him on-loan for a third time with their eyes on a permanent deal for the player when his contract with Chelsea expires.
Van Ginkel has failed to impress any Chelsea boss since he signed for the Blues. The midfielder spent the end of last season at the club, and rejoined them again this January after missing the first six months of the season through injury.
He helped them win the Dutch League last season, and they want to sign him permanently, but they are unlikely to meet his price tag. This is why they are exploring the possibility of another loan deal.
Van Ginkel has stated his desire to one day be a starter for Chelsea, however if he is not part of Antonio Conte’s plan for next season, he would look for a move away from London.
If the Dutchman asks for a transfer, PSV believe they would be his first choice.
