Bournemouth manager, Eddie Howe has intimated that he would love to sign Arsenal’s on loan midfielder Jack Wilshere, on a permanent basis.
With his loan spell in the South Coast coming to an end, Wilshere’s future is once again subject of much speculation. He is rumoured to have been offered a new contract by Arsene Wenger, but has yet to sign on, keeping his options open till the summer transfer window opens.
Wilshere had enjoyed a minor resurgence at Bournemouth before an injury curtailed his progress and he has now missed the last four games for the club. In his absence, Bournemouth have been on a good run of form, which makes the situation for him a little tricky.
Wilshere’s stock has fallen remarkabley considering that he was once hailed as the next Xavi of his generation.
It is believed that Bournemouth are trying to avoid building their team around a player who may not be with them next season and as such want to utilize their own players more. However, their manager has strongly denied this, claiming that there is so much competition in his midfield.
