Sunderland centre back Lamine Kone , could be on his way to Everton if the reports in the media are true.
Everton have previously been linked with a move for Kone, however a bid of £16 Million was rejected by Sunderland and now the Toffees face serious competition from the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea.
The Frenchman’s future at Sunderland can now be considered seriously under threat, if three big clubs are interested and Sunderland continue to struggle, then you can take it to the bank that the player will want to leave.
If Everton do succeed in signing Kone then it would be a great deal for them, he is an accomplished defender and would certainly strengthen the defensive line up at Goodison.
The only real obstacle for Everton is the reported interest of United and Chelsea, they have the money and stature to see off the Merseysiders, but for now, they do appear to be the front runners and the most likely destination.
Kone moved to Sunderland from Lorient back in January 2016, he has made 23 first team appearances for Sunderland and seven international appearances for France.
