Former Chelsea defender Franck Leboeuf is convinced about the quality of Kurt Zouma.
Zouma is very highly-rated in the game and has impressed on his outings so far for the Blues.
He may make his fourth start for the club against Maribor in the Champions League tonight and Leboeuf believes he has great potential.
As quoted on the London Evening Standard, Leboeuf said: “He will grow up next to JT, Cahill and Ivanovic.
“He will be fantastic.
“People have to be patient. Mangala was already at another level when Manchester City went to buy him. But Kurt is the future. He perhaps has to work more on the tactical aspect and technically he needs to improve a bit more. But he will learn a lot from playing with John. When you are a younger player, you have to look at the seniors and do everything you can to get better.
“The cleverness of John when he was younger was to constantly check with Marcel Desailly and me about tactical aspects of the game to get better. John did everything to make sure he had all the luggage he needed to have a successful career. Kurt must do the same.”
