Enes Unal has revealed he snubbed Premier League champions Chelsea in favour of Manchester City, he has revealed.
Unal, 18, arrived at the Etihad for a modest £2m in July, but now finds himself on a two-season loan with Belgian outfit Genk.
However, the forward has revealed he rejected Chelsea’s advances during the summer and cites City’s enthusiasm to sign him as the deciding factor.
Unal told the Turkish Football Federation: “One of the other teams that wanted me was Chelsea.
“I decided to join Manchester City because they had shown more interest and were really keen in bringing me in.”
