Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted Roman Abramovic will decide the fate of Didier Drogba, as he lines up a shock move for QPR star Charlie Austin.
The 37-year-old rejoined the Blues last summer on a free transfer from Galatasaray following an earlier eight-year spell.
But Mourinho is reportedly looking at bringing a new, younger striker to Stamford Bridge, with QPR’s Austin on his radar.
As quoted on the Daily Express website, he said: “I think, this is a club thing. This is a Mr Abramovich thing.
“Mr Abramovich wants him to do what he wants in the club but it’s something Mr Abramovich has to tell him. He has to decide.
“But obviously he belongs to the history of this club.”
