Arsene Wenger’s possible replacement and Real Madrid No2 Paul Clement has revealed that he will be managing a club very soon, according to the Daily Star website.
Wenger, 65, will handpick his replacement when he does retire and has identified Real Madrid No.2 Clement as a shock contender.
He joined Paris St-Germain in 2012 to work under Carlo Ancelotti, then moved with him to Madrid a year later.
And there has been reports which have claimed that Wenger sees him as the man that could replace him, with rumours the Frenchman is ready to quit at the end of the season.
Asked in May whether he is close to going into management as a number one, Clement said: “I think it’s soon, it will be soon.
“Will it be England? I don’t rule out anything.
“More than likely in England, although if a nice opportunity came up in another country I wouldn’t rule it out. I’ve enjoyed working in France and Spain as well.”
