According to French Paper, L’Equipe, Marseille new owners have set aside a staggering £34 million for a top striker this summer. The reports claim that they have identified Arsenal, Chelsea and Celtic top strikers as the players they would love to poach.
It is believed that the trio of British teams should expect offers from the club for their strikers. Chelsea’s Batshuayi, Celtic’s Dembele, and Arsenal’s Giroud are their first three targets.
Mitchy Batshauyi signed for Chelsea last summer, but has seen his career stalled as the form of Diego Costa has kept him on the bench for most part of the season and Arsenal’s Giroud has also been used sparingly, with the club preferring to play Alexis Sanchez as their target man for the majority of this season.
Celtic’s Mousa Dembele has been in terrific form and the Scottish Champions-elect know that it is only a matter of time before they lose the player to a bigger European team.
Arsenal will be listening to offers for Giroud this summer, as they plan a major overhaul, and Chelsea may let Batshuayi go, if they sign any of the big name strikers they have been linked to.
