Paris St Germain has not given up hope of signing Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.
Reports in France are claiming that PSG will make one last attempt to sign the Chilean hitman but are of the opinion that Sanchez will most likely be sold to Manchester City.
It does not appear that the Gunners have managed to persuade Sanchez to extend his contract at the Emirates and his departure is an almost certainty now.
Arsenal would prefer to sell to a foreign club rather than a direct Premier League rival but with Bayern Munich no longer in the picture and Inter Milan seen as outsiders then PSG are the only real alternative to City.
The problem for Arsenal is that Sanchez is keen on a move to the Etihad and a reunification with Pep Guardiola/
Arsenal cannot afford to allow the 28-year-old to run his contract down next year and leave on a free, so a summer sale is the only realistic option.
Something will have to give and it will most probably be Arsenal, no matter how distasteful it becomes.
