Arsenal’s resolve not to let Alexis Sanchez leave this summer is about to be tested. The Gunners have told the Chilean attacker that he would either sign a new deal or run down his contract this summer, but PSG are ready to test how faithful the Gunners can be.
Alexis Sanchez has told Arsenal that he wants to play Champions League football next season, and since they cannot offer that to him, they should allow him to leave. It appears as though he would also not sign a new deal even if his current wage demands are met.
Mirror Sport is reporting that PSG wants to take advantage of his current contract stand off and make a £70 million bid for his signature. The French side believes the Gunners would find it hard to turn it down as the player has just one year left on his current deal.
Manchester City is Sanchez’s preferred club, but the Gunners have sworn not to do business with any rival, which also plays to the advantage of PSG.
The French side is ready to meet Sanchez’s £400,000 per week wage demand also.
