Reports have claimed Liverpool could make an attempt to sign Neven Subotic from Borussia Dortmund, according to German football expert Rafa Honigstein.
The 26-year-old Serbian defender has been linked with the move to Anfield to join up with his former boss Jurgen Klopp – and he appears ready to make the move.
As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, Honigstein said: “The chairman at Dortmund has said that Klopp wouldn’t target any of his players.
“I think there is probably a deal to be made with Neven Subotic, who’s a bit out of favour.
“He’s one of the few players that was personally picked by Klopp when he was at Dortmund from Mainz.”
