PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are ahead of Manchester United in their pursuit of transfer target Memphis Depay.
The 21-year-old has found himself the subject of interest from several European sides in recent months after his 21 league goals in 28 games this season.
And PSV sporting director Marcel Brands has revealed that Liverpool and PSG are currently winning the race for Depay.
“PSG and Liverpool are indeed a step ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Memphis. United have only informed us about their interest,’ Brands told Fox Sports.
‘The list of interested clubs has grown in recent weeks, but Bayern Munich are not among the teams that want to sign him.’
