Raheem Sterling has offered the biggest hint yet that he is prepared to sign a new deal with Liverpool.
The 20-year-old has been involved in negotiations over a contract extension since the start of the season, but has so far been unable to agree terms.
He insisted on Wednesday there is no panic about his future.
As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, he said: “It is not a distraction to me, I am concentrating on winning games for Liverpool and hopefully it will be done soon,” he said as he flew out to Instanbul for the Europa League showdown with Besiktas.
“I speak to my representative every day and he has just told me to concentrate on playing football, and him and the club will deal with it.”
