Manchester United midfielder, Ander Herrera could be on his way to the Nou Camp if the Catalan’s new manager has his way.
Ernesto Valverde, who is widely regarded as the successor to Luis Enrique at the Camp Nou, has reportedly drawn up a list of players that would help him lead Barcelona back to Spanish and European dominance, and Herrera features at the very top of that list.
Herrera has moved from one of the most ignored players to become one of the important players in Manchester United in a little over a year.
Valverde managed Herrera for one season at Bilbao before he moved to Manchester United, and now he wants to manage him again.
27-year-old Herrera has not discussed his future recently, but those close to him believe that he would not turn down the chance to return home to a club like Barcelona at this point in his career.
Herrera would have just a year left on his current deal at the end of the season, and Barcelona believes he would be easier to sign than PSG’s Marco Verratti who has a contract with the Parisians until the summer of 2021.
