AC Milan has registered their interest in the signature of Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto.
The 21 years old has been earning great plaudits from the Italian media following his exploits since he joined Udinese from Slavia Prague.
He played 35 games for the Italians last season, scoring 7 goals and creating 5 more. He has also impressed this season and Milan are looking to strike a deal with their Italian counterparts that would see him join them in January.
Milan splashed the cash this summer as they made a total overhaul of their playing squad. But after losing to SS Lazio the owners feel they need more players.
Arsene Wenger has been tracking the midfielder since he was playing in Prague and the Frenchman is thought to see him as a long-term replacement to Santi Carzola who looks to be in his final season at the Emirates.
The Gunners are also expected to go back for Thomas Lemar during the winter transfer window, but signing the winger would depend largely on the transfer of Alexis Sanchez as they expect Manchester City to return for the South American.
