Italian media is claiming that Juventus are planning to launch an £80 million move for PSG midfielder, Marco Verratti. The Italian has been linked to some of Europe’s top sides this season, and is likely going to leave Paris after this season

He told reporters that he planned to discuss his future with the club when the season ends. It is believed Verratti wants to win the UEFA Champions league and does not see PSG winning the trophy any time soon.

Chelsea have been scouting the Italian and are ready to sell Nemanja Matic to land the Italian. However, Verratti is said to favour a move back home and this has given Juventus an advantage in the race for the player’s signature. Verratti is not directly opposed to a move to the Premier League, and is therefore willing to consider Chelsea’s offer as well.

If Chelsea can convince the Italian that they plan to strengthen their team this summer, and would sign players that can help them Challenge for the Champions League, he may join them.

Chelsea are looking for a marquee signing, and if they can get Verratti, they would surely achieve that ambition.
