Juventus are stepping up their bid to sign Liverpool and Germany international, Emre Can. The German has been on extended break due to his involvement in the Confederations Cup with Germany, however, his return to Liverpool might be just to pack his bag and head to Italy according to Tuttosport.
The Italian publication is claiming that Juventus are set to make a £30 million bid for Can and he is willing to joining the Italian Champions because of the prospect of winning trophies there.
Can is currently in the final year of his Liverpool deal, and talks were held about him signing an extension at the end of last season, but much progress was not made. The Reds have tabled another offer believed to be worth £100,000 per week for the German who scored some very key goals for them last season as well as one the best goal of the season.
Can told the club’s supporters at the time that his reluctance to extend his contract was not because of money, it is thought to be about playing time, and positions.
If Liverpool succeeds in landing Naby Keita, competition for a place will definitely increase, and the German wants to be assured he would be trusted to play.
